
With its location between Tucson and Phoenix, Marana is an attractive community dedicated to maintaining a friendly environment where people can work, shop, live and play.
Marana is a relatively new municipality, incorporating in 1977. Although the Town is young, Marana has a rich history, and heritage preservation is one of its priorities. Along with Marana’s physical growth, the population has swelled with the development of a number of master-planned communities. As of 2007 Marana has an estimated population of 33,000 and is expected to reach 100,000 by 2030.
Marana's population is much diversified, with several neighborhoods of low to moderate-income families, several large regions of middle class working families and some golf communities which are characterized by age-restricted and non-restricted middle to upper income families.
